Collabritique brings people together to create a dialogue and foster collaboration by providing the tools necessary to help them reach a mutually agreeable opinion about a piece of art. In this way, Collabritique not only promotes interaction and fosters new discussions and critiques about art, but also highlights the inherent connections created when artworks are juxtaposed. All this will provide a richer experience for the museum patron and a more satisfied customer for the museum.
What is Collabritique?
It is an interactive platform which allows multiple people to engage each other around a certain topic through the action of building a thought.
How does it work?
Art in a Museum
Curators spend a lot of time organizing works of art so that there is relationships between pieces. Often though, this fact is over-looked in the rush to see every work in the museum. Patrons often move from piece to piece, standing near each other, huddled, reading the caption label and glancing at the work.
Get a Group
Collabritique hopes to change that by affording the patrons the ability to engage each other. Just like a conversation, the system requires multiple people. Clear instructions begin to allow the user to engage with nearby patrons.
Develop an Idea
Once a group is gathered, the common goal of developing an idea binds them. Using our interactive platform, the users grab words to fill in pre-structured sentences. This allows them to work together to form their thought, while maintaining the content is relevant to the works.
